About the event
CCBC is delighted to collaborate with the Orillia & District Arts Council and the City of Orillia in hosting our first Celtic Kitchen Cèilidh!
What is a Cèilidh?
Cèilidh (pronounced kay-lee) originated from the Gaelic word for 'gathering' or 'party.' However, nowadays, when people think of a Ceilidh, they envision a lively night filled with energetic dancing, delightful music, and wonderful company!
We are thrilled to feature an exceptional lineup of performers, including:
- Jessica Martin: Fiddle, Vocals
- Katrina Gilbert: Fiddle
- Lorna Bolden: Fiddle
- Alan Cooper: Fiddle
- Kathryn Gillett: Recorder, Vocals, Bodhrán
- Sophie Cooper: Mandolin
- Bryan Sutton: Concertina
- Margaret Pomeroy: Guitar
Step Dancing performance by Barbara Rae MacMillan will also be a highlight of the evening.
Join us for a night of joyous singing, spirited dancing, and captivating storytelling that you won't want to miss.
Admission is free, and reservations are highly recommended.
